INIFD (International Institute of Fashion Design) the landmark in the field of Fashion, Interior, Textile and MBA Design is an official knowledge partner to Lakme Fashion Week .The students of INIFD had the opportunity to participate in the Lakme Fashion Week, which was held in Hotel Grand Hyatt in Mumbai from 17th to 21 September 2010. The students send their designs in Lakme Fashion Week & their garments displayed in the exhibition, which held during the Lakme Fashion Week. The Fabrics used by them is Crep, Velvet, Cotton Silk, and Cotton Voil.
Inter National Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) Jaipur students, Om Kumawat, Swati khandelwal & Renu Mishra is proud achiever as Their designer garment have been selected for the INIFD stall at Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2010 along with the likes of Manish Malhotra, Narendar Kumar, Pearl uppal, Neeta Lulla, Ridhi-Sidhi, Masaba Gupta, Simoni Bhattacharya, Sushil jaweri, where the buyers, top international & national media, film stars & celebrities recognized and appreciated the designing caliber of budding INIFD designers.
INIFD Jaipur Students exhibited their garments in the Lakme Fashion Week stall under the winter festive theme. Renu Mishra exhibited Net Saree with embroidered velvet borders, which was an excellent piece of design. Golden Zari wire was used in the embroidery, which enhances the look of garment. The Garment exhibited by Swati was designer kurti in different color combination purple with golden buti was great. It was a fusion of western with traditional. Om Kumawat exhibited his garment under the them “Flying High” inspired by Makar Sakranti. Semi-formal garments were made with quilting as the special features. He exhibited five garments under this theme. Showing the strength of the women.

Famous designers like Manish Malhotra, Narendar Kumar, Pearl uppal, Neeta Lulla, Ridhi-Sidhi, Masaba Gupta, Simoni Bhattacharya, Sushil jaweri, presented
their collections at Lakme Fashion Week. On the Lakme fashion Week other celebrities were Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Rani Mukhrji, Hema Malini & Ketrina Kefh. Shri Devi, Sonakshi Sinha & Pooja Batra also walk on the ramp.
INIFD stall at Lakme Fashion Week gave a sneak peak into a designer’s creation providing a first look at the collection. INIFD housed their best creations at the INIFD stall at Lakme Fashion week, giving the fashion forward guests a preview of the future designers in India. INIFD stall at Lakme Fashion Week winter festive 2010 showcased the innovative designer garments and reinvented traditional art forms that would cater to the modern Indian woman by giving their flight of imagination a distinct vision.
INIFD Location Head Swati Bhargava describes it as a wonderful learning experience for the students. The collections were amazing.
Regional Director Ms. Kamla Poddar said ‘I am very happy and proud to see the designer garment of our student at INIFD stall at Lakme Fashion Week. INIFD has given this prestigious Lakme Fashion Week platform to its students to portray traditional art forms in pure timeless silhouettes. INIFD has set a novel benchmark by giving its student an opportunity to showcase their works in the same arena as the Lakme Fashion Week designers. More than 1000 entries were received from all across India and out of which the panel of Designers’ selected only 100 designer garments.
