INIFD Jaipur’s Annual Art Exhibition “Yugantar-Kalachakra 2015”


Yugantar-Kalachakra 2015INIFD organized its Annual Art Exhibition on 13th June which will run till 18th June, 2015. The Inauguration ceremony was done by Ms BIBI Russell (International Acclaimed Fashion Designer), Abhishek Haritwal (Founder Haritsons), Ms Dharmendra Kanwar (Writer) after inauguration They visited entire exhibition & were highly impressed by students innovative & classic work. They appreciated the students & wished them all the best for their future endeavor. Ms. Bibi Russell motivated the students and said they should save the crafts people and help revive their dreams.

Yugantar-Kalachakra 2015The main attraction of this art exhibition is its theme i.e. Yugantar-Kalachakra 2015 – the wheel of time which is mammoth & moves on in a speed which one cannot feel but see as one form of the healer the re-creator. Yugantra: The Kaal Chakra passes by but completes one whole circle coming face to face with what was & will be. The students of INIFD have dedicated their creativity to depicting time in their work of art in the exhibition.

The inspiration of exhibition are Stone Era, Vedic Era, Mouyan Era, Vedanta Era, Kushan Era,Gupta Era,Mugal Era,British Era, Modern , Futuristic. Students given tribute to Nepal by Mauryan Era. The dynamism of this word takes form of the basic conceptualization of exhibition. The Students have made products keeping in mind the exclusive use of one single material. Students have been exploring and generating the various kinds of inspirations into their own product. The whole institute has been transformed into an art gallery wherein each era has been given its separate space. The corridors being converted into an exploration gallery where the students have presented their concept sheets of the products made by them.

Yugantar-Kalachakra 2015The ambience of each little corner speaks the whole concept and its relativity to the word Yugantar. The beautiful attires made by the fashion design students consist a total set of garment head gear, footwear, handbag and accessories of same time period. On the other hand the interior design students have made lifestyle products and accessories based on the usage of materials taken in the portfolio. The products range from pendant lamps, corner tables, couches, seating, partitions, window treatments etc. all being inspired from various life forms like mother nature, music, timeline, wildlife and much more. The overall characteristic of this portfolio presentation is to give a wide platform to the upcoming young designers.

Many visitors came to visit the exhibition on the first day & appreciated the unique ideas of the students. Fashion, Interior, Textile all streams are participating in this exhibition. Students are working with full enthusiasm.

2nd day Alumni Meet, 3rd day Selfi contest on Street Looks ,4th day INIFD Longest Gown which students will stitch in 24 hours by using 300mt fabrics, 5th day Lakme fashion week certificate ,Vogue honour Competition Certificates & Durian Society Interior participation certificate will be given to INIFD fashion students whose garments were selected in Lakme fashion week Summer/Resort & Winter/Festive,2015 & Interior design students who taken the part in Durian Society Competition & 6th day, Mini Fashion Show in which garments will be designed by INIFD jaipur students & closing ceremony will be held on same day.
