PIIT under the aegis of Kamla Poddar Institutes, Bani Park had organized their award night “Vyoum 2014” on Friday, 28th November 2014 with lot of glamour and glitz. The Honourable Guests were Mr. Umesh Bhandari, CEO – Reliance Industries Ltd., Rajasthan, Mr. Gautam Sharma, Chairman, ICAI, Mr. Praveen Choudhary, VICE President, Dani Securities Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Vivek Singhal, Financial Head, MTS, Rev. Dr. Sebstian Anand, Principal, St. Xavier’s College and Mr. Deepak Malhotra, Regional Manager, SMU.

The theme of the night was “Vyoum- The Universe”. The student’s’ Endeavour was to depict the different elements of the universe. The wonderful night commenced with the dance performance on Ganesh Vandana. After that the students depicted through a dance form the way Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh had created Vyoum – The Universe. Again they offered a dance performance to represent the humans and robots and their usefulness. Cosmos 2014 the fashion show was another attraction of the night in which costumes were made out of scrap.

The event mesmerized the audience. The students were awarded in various categories like academics, cultural and sports. Mr. Fresher and Ms. Fresher for winter drive 2014 were given to Bilal and Ayushi. Kapil was declared winner in the talent hunt, organized in March 2014 at PIIT.

The most coveted award was the Kalpana Chawla, Super Achiever I-CAN award. This award is being given every year, keeping in view the overall academic performance of the student. This award includes a shield, certificate and a scholarship of Rupee Ten Thousand every year for further studies in the same institute, consecutively for three years. This year, the award was given to Shivali Garg, student of BBA. She said that this award is an encouragement to the deserving.

Faculties of PIIT were also felicitated for their dedication towards the students overall growth in their career.

Ms. Kamla Poddar, Chairperson, KPI said that this kind of function creates enthusiasm in students mind and encourages them and we really take pride in our students achievements.
