KPI organized its two days Navratra Celebration on 30th September & 1st October 2014 at Kamla Poddar Institutes Campus.
INIFD the most promising institute in the field of Fashion, Textile, Interior design organized its Dandiya Night on 1th Oct. 2014.

The two day festival celebration started with the PIIT Dandiya which was on 30th September, 2014 with the Shasthi Pooja (Sixth day of Navratra’s) and did the Maha Aarti of the Goddess Durga’s beautiful idol.

On this occasion Mrs. Kamla Poddar, Chairperson of Kamla Poddar Group, Mr. Abhishek Poddar Director Kamla Poddar Group did the ‘Maha Aarti’. The ‘Pooja’ was done by all the members of KPI family. After the Pooja, the staff and the staff and students of INIFD celebrated the festival.

The evening started with the ‘Maha Aarti’ on the saptami (7th day of Navratra) and was followed by dance on the folk music.

All the students & the faculties were dancing on the tunes of Dandiya music. All in traditional Indian wears were displaying the moods of festivity in the beautiful colors. Evening became more colorful & beautiful when the students played Dandiya with the faculties with lots of enthusiasm.

The Designing students decorated the campus in an innovative way & displayed their creativity. Being the students of design, students reflected their innovation & creativity by using appliqué work, patch work, dori work & mirror work in the Traditional Garba dresses designed & worn by them.

• Best In Accessorization: Mr. Vijay & Akriti Khandelwal
• Best Decorative Dandiya Stick: Ms. Ashima
• Best In Tatoo/Body Art: Ms. Shalini

Mrs. Kamla Poddar, the Chairperson of Kamla Poddar Institutes, encouraged the students to practice the traditional values so as to pass on these priceless treasures as legacy to the future generations.

The celebration shall come to end with the immersion of the Goddess Durga Idol on Dussehra.
